Leonidio is one of the best winter sport climbing destinations in Europe. Located in Greece, it boasts a mild Mediterranean climate and south-facing crags to enjoy the sun all day. With over 2,000 routes in various styles and grades, sport climbing in Leonidio suits climbers of all levels. The nearby sea, delicious local gastronomy, charming village atmosphere, and legendary Greek hospitality make it a top choice for the perfect climbing holiday in Greece.

Itinerario

Arrive at Athens airport, then take a scenic 3-hour drive through the Peloponnese to reach Leonidio, Greece’s sport climbing paradise. You can rent a car or take a bus to explore the beautiful landscapes. No activity today but we reccomend arrive arounf 3-4 pm so you can enjoy some relax at the beach.
Start the adventure with climbing in the stunning Twin Caves above Leonidio. Enjoy breathtaking views of the blue sea and green valley. Our guide, Simon, will observe and help improve your climbing technique. In the evening, enjoy a welcome dinner featuring delicious Greek gastronomy at a local restaurant.
Head to Sabaton for a personalized training session. With its shorter routes, this sector is perfect for practicing foot technique, balance, and movement - ideal for both beginners and seasoned climbers looking to refine their skills.
Build confidence in outdoor rock climbing at Mikri Elvetia, the "Small Switzerland" sector of Leonidio. The well-bolted routes here are safe and perfect for gaining lead climbing experience. This day is all about pushing your limits safely.
Take a break from climbing and explore Greece’s cultural heritage. Visit the UNESCO World Heritage sites of Epidaurus, Mycenae, or Monemvasia. Alternatively, relax on the beach or go for a hike around the mountain village of Kosmas.
Get back on the rocks and challenge yourself to climb harder grades! Continue learning new techniques while enjoying the stunning surroundings of sport climbing in Greece.
This is your day to tackle a climbing project and lead a route. With Simon’s guidance, achieve great climbing feats and receive a personalized training program to maintain your motivation once back home. End the day with a memorable farewell dinner at a famous beachside restaurant.
After an unforgettable week of sport climbing in Leonidio, drive or take the bus back to Athens airport. Book your flight in the late afternoon so you have time to enjoy the last bath!
