🔹Lack of transparency on total costs composition on the platform (no split between trip cost and insurance/additional costs); btw I went there with my own car I booked the hotel myself the day before and the refuge the day after was booked by the local guide; 🔹Charged €300 upfront for “insurance,” later vaguely referred to as a package, but I only received the guide contact no additional arrangements by MapoTapo; 🔹No clear breakdown of costs on the platform only total amount present and no supporting documentation provided; 🔹Insurance practice not received before the trip (according to law I should have receive the practice insurance and number before the trip, it is not sufficient that they have the insurance link on the website) 🔹Other participants booking through different tour operators paid less than half for the same trip, this is why I am concerned as the additional 300 euros where not transparent (I thought it was an alone trip at that price and not a group or I would have never booked it at that price for a group) 🔹After raising concerns, I was offered only a voucher and a sweatshirt — both declined. I am not concerned about having an insurance or additional costs, I am only reporting that these are not transparent at all, not even when you are booking and should be, according to law. Coming to know that the other participants have paid half the price was a bit disappointing. The trip I have booked and the one in winter I can see, for now, has been removed from the platform. As my trust in this tour operator has vanished I will no longer travel with them and looking foward to receive back my left balance. I hope that these considerations will help to make info costs more transparent on the platform, so that customers are aware of what they are paying and there will be no concerns. Very simple.
